Journalism & PR
I am a studied historian and trained journalist. Camping and caravanning as a field of work found me at the beginning of the 1980s as a part-time job besides my studies. I produced texts, drawings and photos for catalogs of motorhome accessory dealers, the DIY campervan conversion had its heyday at that time. I switched to journalism with the founding of promobil, Europe's first single-genre motorhome magazine. After the mag had been taken over by Motorpresse Stuttgart (the biggest European publishing house for anything on wheels), professional coaching on the job made me more professional. My subsequent career has alternated between the journalistic work of a thoroughly researching reporter and the more advertising-oriented work of a public relations officer. I approach both with a high degree of motivation and responsibility. Bad style is anathema to me, and I consider sloppy formulations to be an insult to the addressee. Trust me: When you receive a text from me, it is well-founded, structured and pleasant to read. That’s also because I am meticulous, but not humorless. My topics are: Travel, Outdoor, Camping in all facets and Classic Cars. A special treasure is my digitized photo archive with private camping pictures from six decades.
